Core Learning - The Holy Spirit is God. The Holy Spirit is a Person.

 

The Holy Spirit can be viewed at times as something at our disposal, like a 'thing' that can help us when we want. The Holy Spirit is a person not a 'thing' not a bit of equipment to help our spirituality.

God is like three fingers wrapped up by a rubber band, even when they are pulled away from each other and function differently they have a pull back to one another..

When we give our lives to God we are invited into the pull, we become the fourth finger.

 

You cannot be in relationship with one and not the others.

 

 

In the Old Testimony people got God the Father wrong, in the New Testament people got God in flesh, Jesus wrong, I don’t want to be the people that gets God the Holy Spirit wrong

 

The problem is never God's power; the problem is our ability to let God show Himself in new ways.

 

 

 

The Holy Spirits goal isn’t to make you weird it’s to make you capable of a life outside your ability and make you comfortable in a life outside your capacity

Holy Spirit Like a Dove 

When Jesus was baptised the Holy Spirit came upon him like a Dove the bible tell us.

 

The Holy Spirit was already inside of Jesus and the Holy Spirit comes into our lives the moment we give our lives to Jesus. The holy Spirit speaks to us and convicts us and guides us from the inside.

 

The Holy Spirit comes upon us like He did with Jesus and like He did with those in Acts 2 at Pentecost. The Holy Spirit is on us for those around us, so we would walk in and be clothed with power to see miracles, signs and wonders.

 

Think about how you would live your life if you had a dove resting on your shoulder. You would do everything with that dove in mind so it would remain with you. the Holy Spirit calls us to live with Him in mind of Him in us and on us.
