Content

Core Learning - God is speaking, are we listening.

Prophecy is seeing the seed in someone and telling them what it looks like fully grown.

Its and invitation. You can say yes or no by how you take it on. It shouldn’t be directive.

3 things to remember for practicing the prophetic

1. It must be encouraging and uplifting

2. It must line up with the bible

3. It must point people closer to God

If we follow these three things the worst that can happen is someone get encouraged in a biblical way.

It's a good idea to do it with another person so it's never in secret and you have some accountability with what you say and if you might be a bit off one day.

Exercise or Practice

Practicing the Prophetic Game

Picture a Purple Elephant - Minds Eye

God can put pictures in our imagination and minds eye

Now pair up - Ask God to use that part of our mind to give us an image to encourge with

Vehicle - car, truck, plane, boat, ship etc...

Furniture - desk, lounge, chair, desk, bed

What colour is it? What shape is it? What does it feel like? What does it smell like?

What about it would God be saying to encourage someone?
