Core Learning - Remain Curious

Consumers or Contributors

We have a Consumer-focused world. Shops, Restaurants, Websites etc..

If you OWN or WORK in the Shop..

You are no longer a consumer, that would put you out of business fast. You would be eating all the products and taking home all the best things before anyone else got them.

If you own the business you are no longer a Consumer but a Contributor..

Consumer to Contributor

A consumer goes with the mindset of, what can i get out of this and how can it cost me the least amount of time or money.

A contributor goes with the mindset of, how can i prepare this best for the experience of others

My Story of connecting to Church:

I didn’t grow up in Church

I ended up here through a series of events I believe God set up.

Left feeling like I was closer to God.

Not because of Consumers - I didn’t have that experience due to the consumers that had gone before me.

Because of Contributors - I had that experience because of the contributors that had gone before me.

I had that experience because for years other people discovered their vital role.

My Salvation is largely because of them.

The ones who gave in the offerings, the ones who prayed, the ones who got up early for band or setup and the ones who stayed late to lock up etc etc...

There are way to many churches full of consumers and nowhere near enough contributors.

Jesus came to serve not to be served

Mark 10:45 NIV

"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

We remain in a mindset of growth when we choose to be a disciple

Disciple - Follower and Student

Lets continue to be Spirit Led as we Follow God

Lets continue to be a Student of Gods word and remain curious in who he is and what God is like

When we remain curious we allow God to take us on an adventure of faith and we find ourselves in places we never expected living lives we never knew possible.
